Fish on Film provide a range of digital cameras, associated accessories and underwater housings for hire. We provide both still cameras and video cameras. We are based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Digital Still Cameras

Our range includes cameras that are perfect for new underwater photographers, being very easy to use, allowing you to focus on taking photographs underwater without the distraction of complicated camera settings - literally point and shoot.

For experienced underwater photographers, we have cameras that allow full manual control so you can be as creative as you wish.

All of our cameras are digital, eliminating film and development costs, enabling you take hundreds of shots without having to reload the camera, and letting you immediately see the shot you have just taken.

Video cameras

We also offer digital video cameras, enabling you to capture the movement and life of the undersea world.

Like our still cameras, our video rigs have been assembled to offer maximum ease of use. No experience is necessary; in fact many divers find shooting underwater video is easier than taking still photographs.

Accessories

To complement our digital still cameras, we have an external strobe system available, which can be hired with a camera rig, or separately.

If you have looked into buying an underwater camera system, you may have found it difficult to find a supplier with knowledge and experience of underwater photography or videography as well as a range of equipment.

Few dive shops offer a wide range of cameras although many can offer advice, knowledge and experience. On the other hand, few 'high street' camera shops can offer advice based on knowledge and experience of underwater photography although many can offer a wide range of cameras and associated accessories.

Fish on Film aim to bring the equipment and the advice into one place, and depending on the circumstances may be able to offer a 'try before you buy' opportunity.
